I started learning dark room techniques; then, I began taking private classes for a more “hands-on” approach. At that point, realizing that black and white photography was my awakening to photography. I launched into career photography taking portraits of my friends and local models. I built my portfolio and started taking professional photos from referrals. In 1998, I expanded my education by attending and graduating from the New York Institute of Photography. There I learned about various photography styles, techniques, film and photographic history... deepening my love and “knowing” that photography is my life’s passion. So far, I’ve been a photography assistant, concert photographer for radio station, events, Musician cd covers/Promotions, Real Estate and some of my work has been published in magazines. My real passion is Fashion photography. I understand the process to put together strong editorial projects. From concept/idea to final image. I have strong understand for makeup, fashion/style and hair. I also won the top award in a national photography contest and had my photo entry accepted and published in the International Library of Photography --The Mirror’s Reflection (hardback coffee table book). My first solo exhibits named “Eyedentity” was a great success. I map out the entire exhibit from location to presentation. |
